Dr Mangat qualified as dental surgeon from University College London and then undertook further training in the Department of Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute.
A career in General Dental practice followed with positions as Company dentist for BP oil and Clinical Cluster Lead with a UK based DSO (Oasis Dental Care). At that time, Dev was one of twelve dentists who undertook the clinical audit program with the Royal College of Surgeons England. This provided the opportunity to utilize these skills in improving the efficiency and delivery of dental practice not only in the Corporate Environment but also in private practice. Until 2010 Dev was fully involved in private practice, most recently devoting his time and intention to more complex cases. He still maintains his UK registration.
In 2010 and after moving to Canada, Dev joined ROI Corporation (dental brokerage) where he spent ten years, before exiting as Director of Western Canada. During those years he greatly enjoyed helping his clients transition into retirement after a successful career in Dentistry. Many are still his friends!
Having worked as a clinician and being involved extensively in clinical audit/operations and then as Broker, Dev. joined Passion Dental as EVP Integrations/ Operations in 2021 and has spent the last three years in that role.
The last 33 years in Dentistry has afforded the opportunity to gain considerable experience not only in the delivery of Dentistry but also to align with the Dental Community in terms of their expectations.
In terms of his position with MBC Brokerage, the goal is to secure a pathway towards a graceful exit from the profession for those seeking retirement and an exciting introduction to practice ownership for those just beginning their journey!
